Breakfast Program (LA)

Date: September 17, 2015

Time: 7:30AM - 9:30AM

Location: Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles

Description: LA Breakfast presentation, "Civic Environment Culture Change: Alternative Deliveries" with the following speakers:

  • Shane Silsby, Director, ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS
  • Jacob Williams, Assistant Director, LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
  • Michael J. Sarullo, Division Engineer, CITY OF LOS ANGELES BUREAU OF ENGINEERING, ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING DIVISION

Moderator: Michael R. Moore, Assistant General Manager, CITY OF ANAHEIM

It’s tough for rapid change to happen in a civic environment where various agendas, changing elected representatives, public procurement policy and the status quo must all balance in the pursuit of quality projects. Civic agency representatives who have experience in delivering design and construction projects will share their perspectives on optimizing project delivery including how to incorporate alternative delivery methods into their programs. They will discuss challenges, ideas for championing quality and predictability, and stories of how they are achieving improved outcomes collaborating and interfacing with the private sector. Come to hear your agency peers give you their inside perspective. A special invite and rate are provided for agency representatives.
