Description: DBIA-WPR Hawaii Chapter Lunch Program, OWNERS’ PERSPECTIVE TO DESIGN-BUILD PROJECTS.  Join DBIA-WPR Hawaii Chapter for a luncheon. Geoffrey Neumayr who is currently the Chief Resiliency & Sustainability Officer for the San Francisco International Airport will be discussing an Owner’s perspective to Design-Build Projects. Geoffrey received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1984. Geoffrey holds both a civil and structural engineer license in California, Nevada and Florida. Geoff has over 30 years in design and construction and has been responsible for the Project Management of some of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most prestigious projects including the San Francisco International Airport BART Station and the newly completed Terminal 2 project. He is a vocal advocate of the team concept for the design and construction of public infrastructure projects and is a proponent of the use of Progressive Design-Build as implementation approach for integrated project delivery. During the presentation, Geoffrey will discuss the different Design-Build delivery systems, the benefits of design-build, the different types of Design-Build (Traditional and Progressive) and share valuable lessons learned from his Design-Build projects.
