The series is built from the Design-Build Institute of America’s Manual of Practice. A highly experienced practitioner will present the topics. Design-build project delivery proves more than any other method that “ordinary people can do extraordinary things.” Writing contracts that are successful at effectively motivating people, however, is central to making this happen. Successful motivation requires a well-written contract that provides appropriate awards and incentives.

Speaker: Evan Caplicki, Attorney, NOSSAMAN LLP
Evan Caplicki is a partner with Nossaman LLP. As part of  the firm’s highly respected infrastructure practice group, he advises project owners on design-build and publicprivate partnerships for large public infrastructure projects around the country. His experience spans the project development process, from advising regarding project delivery options, through procurement and contracting, to contract administration and claims resolution Evan is an instructor for DBIA’s Contracts and Risk Management Course and is the former chair of DBIA’s Contract Documents Subcommittee. He is admitted to practice in California, Colorado, Texas, and Washington and works in Nossaman LLP’s Los Angeles office.
