Collaboration, trust and flexibility are hallmarks of design-build delivery done right, regardless of the specific contractual method used. Fixed price and progressive design-build are the two primary contractual approaches considered by Owners. The path they choose is determined by the unique circumstances of their project and organizational dynamics. This webinar will explore practical elements, opportunities and possible variations associated with these two delivery options, as seen through the lens of two current design-build projects that are of similar size and complexity: the City of Morro Bay Water Reclamation Facility and the City of Escondido MFRO for Agriculture project. Though delivered by different methods, both projects successfully met and overcame challenges through design-build collaboration between the Owner, its trusted advisor and the design-builder.
