Description: LA/OC Chapter luncheon program.  "DESIGN-BUILD IN COMMUNITY COLLEGES AND K-12’S" with speakers:

Jim Rogers - Assistant Director of Facilities & Capital Outlay Projects
Saddleback College (South Orange County Community College District)

Randy Flint - Project Manager
Golden West College (Coast Community College District)

Brett Mitchell - Director, Facilities Construction & Modernization
San Juan Unified School District

Local Community Colleges and a Northern CA K-12 District have had great success with Design-Build (DB) projects. This program will share lessons learned in the DB projects completed and underway with all three districts. Brett Mitchell has had great success with DB at his Northern California K-12 District, and will be here to share his experience and observations as it relates to K-12. Randy Flint and Jim Rogers will share secrets to succeeding from their community college districts in the proposal, design and construction phases, what works and what doesn’t, and insights for districts who have not yet ventured into DB. Each will share, additionally, what’s coming up in their districts.
