Jamie Athenour
Design Manager, Hensel Phelps
With 13 years of construction experience, Jamie Athenour excels at engaging with the architectural, engineering, estimating and operations teams. She works closely with the total team to effectively coordinate and manage activities in a collaborative way. She’s been involved in wide variety of successful design-build projects throughout her career including the San Francisco International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower, 10th & O Street State Office Building and most recently the $940 million Richards Boulevard Office Complex in Sacramento.
Jamie is active with the DBIA Western Pacific Region Chapter, serving on the Board of Directors as the Membership Chair and is deeply committed to the future of the construction industry through student recruitment, training and mentorship. Jamie graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering Technology and is a DBIA Professional and LEED Accredited Professional.
Stefanie Becker, AIA, DBIA
Vice President of Integrated Design + Delivery, McCarthy Building Companies
Stefanie’s passion for bringing a creative approach to all parts of the project process results in deeply collaborative, thoughtful leadership for project teams. With 30 years of professional experience, she is a national leader in the design and construction community. In practice, Stefanie has successfully developed and maintained client relationships, pursued and won several high-profile commissions, and managed large, highly technical projects that were long-term complex endeavors. A skilled facilitator, she is known for her collaborative and organizational skills, as well as her ability to keep complex processes moving forward, even when faced with enormous challenges. Stefanie thrives in developing relationships and connecting the professional community.
Stefanie has a BArch from Cal Poly Pomona and a Masters in Architecture and Urban Design from Harvard University.
Megan Dietz, AIA
Design Management Executive, Clark Construction Group
Coming from an architecture background, Megan moved into design management when she joined Clark Construction in 2017. At Clark, she has led teams through the preconstruction phase for higher education campuses, including a new design-build academic building and a student housing project at UC Hastings as well a clinical healthcare project at UCSF. She also has experience delivering high-rise housing and mixed-use commercial developments. Her passions include working to bridge the gap between architecture and construction. She enjoys collaborating closely with owners, design partners and estimating/operations teams in early project development to develop strategies for successful innovation, communication, and risk mitigation.
Megan graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a minor in Psychology. She is a licensed architect in the state of California, and an Assoc. DBIA and LEED Accredited Professional.
Beth Young, AIA, EDAC, DBIA
Principal + Vice President, HGA
Bringing an empathetic and collaborative leadership approach to each of her projects, Beth is the office director of HGA’s Sacramento office, and oversees the government market sector practice in Northern California. With over 20 years of experience in architecture, construction, design management, and program management for a diversity of project types including healthcare, education, corrections, biotechnology, and government, Beth brings a deep sensitivity to the uniqueness of each project to ensure client satisfaction. As a strong proponent of environmental stewardship, equity, and collaborative project delivery methods, Beth’s passion lies in building strong teams, and promoting a culture of trust and reliable commitments for project success.
Beth has a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and serves as the Education Chair for the Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) Northern California chapter, as well as the programs and design professional committees for the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Western Pacific Region.
