Description: DBIA-WPR Sacramento Chapter online webinar, Outlook for the UC Davis Health Capital Program. Jason Nietupski, Executive Director, UCDH Facilities Planning and Development Division discusses their current capital program, which is unmatched by any other academic institution in the US! The largest capital program in its history, UCDH’s $7.5B capital portfolio is comprised of over 1,000 projects including a new $3.7B, 14 story state-of-the-art high-rise bed tower. The California Tower is the largest active hospital project, the largest hospital bed tower project in terms of dollars currently in design in the US today. UCDH is also implementing a “hub and spoke” model by moving ambulatory services to new campuses throughout Northern California and decoupling administrative, nonpatient care services currently on the Sacramento hospital site to decompress the tertiary care campus. Other interesting projects include a $600M, 21-operating room/procedure Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in design and a $1.3B Innovation District that recently commenced construction on the Sacramento campus, which will include dry/computational research facilities, wet bench facilities, vivarium facilities, industry partnerships and housing.
