Location: Online

Description: DBIA-WPR San Diego Chapter Webinar,  HOW CAN THE CONSTRUCTION WORLD USE P3S IN A 2021 RECOVERY WHILE DELIVERING PROJECTS MORE EFFECTIVELY? Join DBIA-WPR San Diego Chapter for a discussion about the severe revenue and fiscal impacts of Covid19 and how they are driving government agencies to defer and suspend capital projects. Local governments will also have to contend with the “cost of doing nothing” when factoring in unexpected failure of old facilities and infrastructure and damage caused by natural disasters. Capital expenditures will occur one way or another for most, and in 2021 and beyond P3s hold the potential to keep construction opportunities alive. Discussion will explore why and when P3 should be considered as a project delivery method. We’ll discuss how P3 builds upon the strengths of the Design-Build model and how early buy-in is essential.
