Forell/Elsesser Engineers have been early adopters of design/build project delivery starting in the early 1980s. Our experience ranges from the development of bridging documents to working on contractor-led design/build projects as part of the competitive selection process. Notable examples of the success of our design/build projects include the College of San Mateo Building 5 where our team successfully completed this fast-tracked DSA approved project 2 months ahead of schedule and $250,000 below budget and UCSF Parnassus Ray & Dagmar Dolby Regeneration Medicine Building where our D-B team reduced the project cost by $20M and delivered the project in 2 years from start of design to beneficial occupancy.
