Mr. Roger Johnson - Deputy Executive Director, Los Angeles World Aiports
“Ensuring Project Success with a Cohesive Project Team”

Successful projects require more than just delivering a project on-time or on-budget. They also must meet the expectations of the stakeholders. Recent studies indicate the best method to make a successful project is collaboration among the project team. This is not inherent among stakeholders and project teams that each has their individual goals. Additionally, certain project delivery methods make collaboration difficult. Roger Johnson will be presenting on methods used at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to build collaboration among the project team and stakeholders. The $1.3-billion Midfield Satellite Terminal design-build project utilized a 360° survey of the project team and stakeholders during the solicitation phase to build a cohesive team that collaborated to deliver a successful project. Mr. Johnson will describe the methods used at LAWA to build collaboration and successful projects and how they will be implemented on the $5.5-billion Landside Access Modernization Program.
