Description: DBIA-WPR Sacramento Chapter Young Professionals Event. Join DBIA-WPR Sacramento Chapter YP’s for a tour of the Gregory Bateson Building Renovation Project and a mixer afterwards at Drake’s The Barn!
The Gregory Bateson Building was originally constructed in 1981 and the State Historic Preservation Officer designated it as a historically significant building in 2016 due to its innovative design elements, which at the time of the original construction were cutting edge for architectural design and energy efficiency. The four-story, approximately 308,000 GSF building occupies a full city block in downtown Sacramento, California at 1600 9th Street.
The renovation will address building wide MEP infrastructure, fire-life safety, accessibility, exterior façade, water intrusion, and vertical transportation deficiencies; remove hazardous materials; repair water damaged building components; replace interior finishes that are at the end of their useful life; provide a modern working environment; and refresh the building exterior and landscaping. Building amenities will include lobbies, balconies, central atrium, training and conference rooms, break rooms, and bicycle storage.
After the tour, join us for a Mixer at Drake’s The Barn, refreshments are included!
