Description: LA/OC Breakfast Program, "LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS (LAWA) AND DESIGN-BUILD" with Roger Johnson.
LAWA is in the midst of a multi-billion dollar development program for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The centerpiece of the development program is the New Tom Bradley International Terminal and Central Plant Utility This terminal was opened in September with some projects using CM at-Risk and the Central Plant Utility was delivered using design-build. Additionally, there are other major projects in planning or under construction that that may use design-build. These include a new Central Utility Plant, new taxiways and taxilanes, and major renovations and infrastructure upgrades in all of the other terminals. Roger Johnson is the Deputy Executive Director for LAWA and oversees their capital program. Presentation will provide:
- An overview of the current and upcoming LAX capital development program
- LAWA’s commitment to D/B and our going forward plan for alternative delivery
- LAWA’s plans to achieve design consistency and design excellence.
